Singing Lessons – Pop, Rock and R&B

Master degree in Music and more than 11 years teaching experience. Additional – coaching with Christina Aguilera’s vocal group.

My vocal lessons are individual, depending on a student’s level. The first lesson is vocal warm-ups, checking the health of voice, musical ear, pitch, tone, timbre and vocal exercises to define range. On the second lesson we discuss and set breathing management and support. I teach how to sing and breath properly without tension in voice involving abdominal muscles. We also define repertoire for future and I’m very detailed in nuances. I also teach holistic way of singing based on three elements: body, mind and soul. I also include stage craft and performance techniques in vocal lessons. The rest including vocal exercises depend on a genre in which student is working or several genres. I also teach melisma, flexibility, riffs and runs. And as well as vocal, I teach songwriting and stage craft and offer music therapy sessions.

I am currently collaborating with two New York vocal schools and composer Steven Lebetkin..

Music Appreciation Course

Actively listening and appreciating music is an essential part of musical education for all ages.

Knowing the composer’s biography and the context in which the music was written is usually missing from many school’s curricula, but is very valuable for students learning singing or playing an instrument.

That’s why the artistic director and choirmaster of Campanella Children’s Choir Marianna Kosaya, with the assistance of Andrew Magid (current undergraduate of Columbia University in New York), are offering the Music Appreciation Course.

This course consists of five 1-hour long interactive online classes that include listening to music pieces, and also creative drawing, writing and music notation. We examine composers’ biographies, the time periods, and the genres of music. We will cover where improvisation and polyphony of the baroque and jazz era intersect. Ages 9+.
